    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Princeton University Art Museum invites applications for a Research Assistant in the field of ancient Mediterranean art, with a preference for a specialty in either Greek or Roman. The candidate will provide research assistance for upcoming exhibitions and projects and will work with the curator on provenance research on works in the collections. Research skills are necessary, as are a background in Greek and/or Roman art and knowledge of ancient Greek and/or Latin. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is temporary.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the Museum:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collecting history that extends back to 1755, the Princeton University Art Museum is one of the leading university art museums in the country, featuring collections that have grown to include more than 117,000 works of art ranging from ancient to contemporary art and spanning the globe. The Museum also operates Art@Bainbridge, a gallery project at 158 Nassau Street; two Museum Stores; and Mosaic restaurant. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To learn more about the Princeton University Art Museum, visit artmuseum.princeton.edu.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The candidate will undertake research on the collections, provide support for projects related to the ancient Mediterranean collection, and will work collaboratively with the curator on exhibition projects that are underway. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>ABD status, with a focus on Greek and/or Roman art.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ancient Greek and/or Latin required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>PhD.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with TMS. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Be advised that you will be contacted only if there is further interest in your application.
