Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) is a certified person who performs direct care in the department setting.  The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>1.     High School Diploma or equivalent.</p>\n<p>2.     Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).</p>\n<p>3.     Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.</p>\n<p>4.     Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current</p>\n<p>5.     Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.</p>\n<p>6.     Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.</p>\n<p>7.     Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.</p>\n<p>8.     Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.</p>\n<p>9.
