    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><i>First Solar reserves the right to offer you a role most applicable to your experience and skillset.</i></p>\n<p>Basic Job Functions:</p>\n<p>The Production Operator is the entry-level position for solar panel manufacturing at First Solar. Assigned area will be limited to our Finishing operation within the plant. Safe operation of specific equipment, material or processes in order to manufacture high-quality photovoltaic solar modules at the required rate is the core function.</p>\n<p>Education/Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>Candidate must have 3 months of general work experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Skills/Competencies:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Safety First mindset.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Basic problem solving and critical thinking skills.</li>\n <li>Basic reading, writing, and math skills.</li>\n <li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to use mobile systems, communication devices, and simple tool interfaces.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts <i>preferred</i>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Essential Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping.</li>\n <li>Perform assigned job duties in accordance to all written work instructions and procedures.</li>\n <li>Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment used to manufacture solar modules at acceptable quality and throughput levels per control plan.</li>\n <li>Ensure proper inventory levels of materials and parts at point of use.</li>\n <li>Load or unload photovoltaic modules as needed to support line rate, isolate quality issues, or as otherwise instructed. Properly identify modules removed from line.</li>\n <li><i>Respond to tool alarms or non-standard conditions per work instruction and escalate issues that cannot be fixed immediately.</i></li>\n <li><i>Ensure waste materials are discarded in their designated containers and containers properly sealed.</i></li>\n <li><i>Other duties as assigned.</i></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reporting Relationships:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>No direct reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Travel:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>No regular travel is required outside the First Solar work site.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Estimated Salary Range:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>$18.00 Hourly, 5%</li>\n</ul>\n<p>US Physical Requirements:</p>\n<p>Manufacturing &amp; Maintenance Physical Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.</li>\n <li>Will climb stairs on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.</li>\n <li>May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &amp;/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).&nbsp;<br>\n  &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>Potential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.&nbsp;&nbsp; All candidates receiving an offer of employment must successfully complete a background check band any other tests that may be required.</i></p>\n<p><i>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: First Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
