The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders; initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures; maintains patient records; and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Allow us to personally match you to the location and team that best aligns with your experience, values, and goals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location Included:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Shelby Hospital</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Why choose Baptist Health:</p>\n<p>✅ Benefits That Start Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance✅ 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan✅ Compassionate Leadership✅ Up to 5 Weeks PTO✅ Paid Parental Leave & Family Care Support✅ Life Insurance & Extended Leave Plan✅ Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,000 per year</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Baptist Health is now part of Orlando Health, bringing in a new day in healthcare! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and in the use of ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, physiologic monitors, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and other equipment required for the provision of respiratory care.</li>\n <li>Maintains accurate and precise documentation.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates a strong power of analytical reasoning and effectively blends patient care management skills with technical expertise.</li>\n <li>Communicates openly and effectively with all members ofthe healthcare team.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates proficiency in quality control and maintenance of arterial blood gas analyzers, specimen collection, and analysis of blood for gas transport and acid/base determinations.</li>\n <li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Training</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate degree from an approved Respiratory Care program. (If licensed prior to December 31, 2008, a certificate of completion from an approved Respiratory Care program will be accepted.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Licensure/Certification</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).</li>\n <li>Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.</li>\n <li>Advanced Life Support as appropriate per unit and site.</li>\n <li><strong><em>Preferred</em></strong>: Maintains active membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
