Description
Position Overview
You will receive on the job training for this entry-level position. You will work alongside an experienced CMT lab technician to learn how to perform a variety of test procedures used to evaluate the quality of construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, stone and masonry
Qualifications
Need to work well as a team member Need to be detail oriented and organized Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to multitask and shift priorities when needed Flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meet deadlines Basic math and computer skills required Strong written and verbal communication skills Education and Experience
• Candidate must currently be enrolled in a degreed program in Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
Physical Requirements
Physical Ability
• Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds
Visual Ability
• Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job
Hearing Ability
• Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function
Work Conditions
• Work exposes the employee to laboratory testing devices, dust, soil and other external environment factors
Shift Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Some overtime may periodically be required
