    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>As a Strategy consultant, your interpersonal, creative thinking, analytical, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one.  By facilitating conversations that inspire innovation and yield valuable business insights, you will support our leaders and their teams in identifying, fostering and promoting strategic and improvement initiatives at all levels of the organization. You will also play a major leadership and project management role in planning, designing, implementing and coordinating initiatives and projects to achieve and sustain improved performance. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Contribute to safe, quality care by:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops recommendations and builds strategic frameworks using a variety of planning, analysis and engagement tools, including: SWOT analysis, environmental scans, literature reviews, focus groups and data analysis. </li>\n <li>Communicates key insights and relevant facts effectively to different audiences, including crafting compelling narratives and proposals with a keen eye for strategic positioning.</li>\n <li>Plans and leads group facilitation and workshops to build on ideas and achieve desired goals with a high level of situational awareness and emotional intelligence.</li>\n <li>Provides strategic project management and change management expertise and support to program and senior leaders in the planning, development, coordination and implementation of projects to support achievement of the organization’s Strategic Plan and Wildly Important Goals.</li>\n <li>Manages complex, organization-wide strategic projects and effectively deploys project, change and risk management tools and methodologies from project initiation to closeout.</li>\n <li>Works with leadership and frontline staff to facilitate the identification, development, implementation and monitoring of process improvement initiatives both within and across hospital departments and services in alignment with the overall organizational strategy.</li>\n <li>Facilitates Lean Kaizen events and manages the preparation, data analysis and follow-up to ensure activities are completed and improvements are realized and sustained.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What must you have?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors’ Degree.</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 years’ experience with a healthcare provider or consulting firm.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What else do you bring?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to work well with different levels of the organization, including frontline staff, managers, senior leaders and Board of Directors.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to balance working very well independently as well as functioning as a highly adaptive and collaborative team member.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of strategy, strategic frameworks and strategic thinking.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to turn large amounts of information into powerful insights and succinct summaries.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and externals stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Excellent group facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving, data analysis and critical thinking skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent project management, change management and conflict resolution skills.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of and experience with Lean principles and tools.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the Ontario health system and the forces impacting change.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the patient care processes and hospital operations.</li>\n <li>Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Mackenzie Health – Excellence, Leadership and Empathy.</li>\n <li>Proven attendance record.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.</li>\n <li>Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.</li>\n <li>Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and exciting health care environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferably, your profile also includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration.</li>\n <li>Lean Certification.</li>\n <li>PMP Certification. </li>\n</ul> * You may be required to work at all sites of Mackenzie Health.\n<h2>---</h2>\n<p>Mackenzie Health is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer committed to providing accommodations for applicants upon request at any stage of the recruitment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our hiring process does not involve the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to screen, assess or select applicants. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration for an interview will be contacted.</em></p>",
