Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Finance and Accounts team, located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Senior Manager, Region Inventory. The senior manager of Inventory is responsible for the month-end close process of all North America Cost accounting and Inventory preparation/reporting, financial analysis, and supervision of the North America Inventory Team. The senior manager is also responsible for the accounting for all tolling and warehousing transactions including forecasting, recording actuals and reporting. This position works with the Plant Controllers, AP, FP&A, Treasury Operations, commercial, Supply chain and Operations. Is responsible for closing Oracle and SAP systems with respect to Inventory each month. This position works closely with the corporate consolidations, treasury and operations departments to ensure transactions are booked timely and in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
Complete the monthly close process for North America Inventory accounting in order for the consolidations group to timely and accurately report financial results.
Proper recording of all expenses and accruals
Intra & inter-company balancing balances with other locations
Assist with FLASH report for senior management
Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, P&L non metal and metal change in inventory
Quarterly reporting support for SEC so that the Company can file various documents with regulatory agency (SEC) and to the Parent Company (Hindalco) for Indian GAAP
Review of monthly account reconciliations
Controller for tolling and warehousing organization with responsibility for forecasting, reporting actual, and variance analysis.
Key liaison with external auditor (PwC) by providing analytics and documentation for audit request
Review reconciliations for completeness, accuracy to ensure proper accounting records are maintained
Work with supply chain and metal procurement to ensure tolling transactions are accounted for and reported accurately.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting/Finance
Professional qualification in accounting (CPA), preferred.
Experience in / Previous exposure to audit field and corporate accounting, preferred.
Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a must. Knowledge of IFRS and Indian GAAP is a plus.
Hyperion and SAP or other coordinated system experience. Strong command of MS Office tools, mainly Excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization in a collaborative matrix environment.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Creative and innovative teammate with a positive approach and a focus on business issues
Willingness to seek additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail
