This role involves installing new units, ensuring proper operation and configuration, and providing expertise in specialized areas. The Technician - Complex ensures compliance with the highest safety standards and may train other technicians.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Facility Maintenance Team: Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Move facility equipment and parts throughout the facility using a variety of material handling equipment, including hoists and cranes.</li><li>Production Equipment Maintenance Team: Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs of production equipment and other equipment supporting the production operations team.</li><li>Install and configure new units, ensuring proper operation and compliance with specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Use advanced tools and equipment, including overhead cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and lift trucks.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and routine activities such as lubrication.&nbsp;</li><li>Obtain and interpret complex schematics and technical manuals to complete repairs.</li><li>Utilize hand tools and basic power tools effectively.</li><li>Perform basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office, CMMS, and Oracle to order parts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.</li><li>Support LPS problem-solving activities by acting as a key contributor in problem-solving meetings and assisting members of their team to fulfil the recommendations resulting from LPS activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Train and coach junior technicians as needed, setting the standard for work quality and standard operation procedures.</li><li>Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.</li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</li><li>Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.</li><li>Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.</li><li>Other responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll Need To Succeed:</strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma or acceptable General Educational Development (GED), some college preferred.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li><li><p>Completion of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical training courses from a community college; or trade school education in a related field; or&nbsp;</p><p>Associate's degree in a related field.</p></li><li>Refrigeration repair certification.</li><li>NFPA 70E training.</li><li>PLC certifications</li><li>7+ years of experience in a related role, such as automotive, mechanical, or HVAC.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic systems, electronic, and pneumatic controls.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to adequately maintain and repair facilities systems consistently.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve maintenance-related issues with little guidance and oversight.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical manuals.</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned repair requests.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e. Screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and power tools.&nbsp;</li><li>Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and be trained in repairing various facility systems and structures within an industrial setting.&nbsp;</li><li>Sound communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of departments.&nbsp;</li><li>Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work at heights and use various lifting equipment safely.</li><li>Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software.</li><li>Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements.</li><li>Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety &amp; Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.</li><li>Advanced HVAC knowledge.</li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Physical demands:</strong></span></p><ul><li>Continuously working indoors in an air-conditioned manufacturing-based environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Infrequently exposed to fumes/vapors/dust/gases/odors/mist/toxic chemicals/vibration/grease/oils/lasers/other etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Continuously exposed to moderate noise levels, including machinery and forklifts.&nbsp;</li><li>Infrequently working with the risk of scalding/burns/other etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Infrequently exposed to wet humid/outdoor weather/extreme cold (non-weather)/extreme heat (non-weather) conditions/other etc.</li><li>Continuously working with machinery with moving parts/vehicles/forklifts/heavy machinery/sharp objects/other etc.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>S&amp;C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
