There will be opportunities for cross-training in the Blending Department, Tableting Department, and the Packaging Department.<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br>Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of this position at any time. Consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this role. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>Assemble, set up, operate independently and tear down/ disassemble all equipment involved in the departmental process for a total of up to twenty or more different pieces of equipment.</li><li>Operate a semi-automatic and automatic encapsulating machines, including inspection apparatus.</li><li>Conduct visual inspection of encapsulated product to detect and remove defective products.</li><li>Ensure cleaning and general maintenance of all departmental equipment and production areas.</li><li>Responsible for documentation of batch/lot numbers, dates and various other data.</li><li>Cross train on various equipment and in other departments.</li><li>Properly clean and place numbers on barrels to be used in encapsulation rooms.</li><li>Take capsule weights and adjust when necessary to automatic encapsulation machines.</li><li>Make part change overs and minor repairs on all encapsulating machines when needed.</li><li>Properly clean and prepare encapsulating machines for the next formula of powder.</li><li>Inspect capsules as they are produced by the encapsulating machines.</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean work environment.</li><li>Ensure proper PPE is utilized.</li></ul><strong>EQUIPMENT USED: </strong><ul><li>The equipment listed is representative of what an employee must be able to operate to perform the essential functions of this job.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li><li>Semi-automatic and automatic machines, inspection apparatus, scales, product moving equipment, computer, PPE,&nbsp;and a forced air respirator.</li></ul><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong>:<ul><li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic computer skills are necessary.</li></ul><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:&nbsp;</strong><ul><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.</li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.</li></ul><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong>&nbsp;<ul><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li></ul><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong>&nbsp;<ul><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardization situations.</li></ul><strong>OTHER SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Must have manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.</li><li>Must be able to multi-task and work at a fast pace.</li><li>Must understand and conform to all safety guidelines.</li></ul><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:&nbsp; </strong><ul><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.</li><li>The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>The employee is occasionally required to sit, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch.</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.</li><li>Occasionally required to climb stairs or portable stairs.</li><li>Repetitive hand movements are required.&nbsp;Personal Protection Equipment is required including a forced air respirator.</li><li>The employee often must lift up to 50 pounds.</li></ul><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:&nbsp;</strong><ul><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately noisy.</li></ul><br>ADM requires the successful completion of&nbsp;a&nbsp;background check.&nbsp;<br><br>REF:108642BR",
