    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Note: This role has a required hybrid/Boston work arrangement.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Liberty Mutual Investments Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Senior Data Engineer</strong> to join our <strong>Financial – Enterprise Data Management</strong> team. This role is focused on developing and supporting enterprise data pipelines and data management solutions for market, reference and financial data in the EDM (Enterprise Data Management) platform.  Previously called Markit EDM, it is currently hosted externally in a SaaS model by Gresham Technologies and runs on Microsoft SQL Server.</p>\n<p>You will play a critical role in developing robust data pipelines, new features and enhancements in the enterprise data management system that allow our Data Integrity Team to reconcile market and reference data. This is an opportunity to utilize your investment knowledge and work closely with a business team on a critical data function.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, maintain, and support data management workflows, data models, and integration processes.</li>\n <li>Configure and support data ingestion, validation, enrichment, matching, and distribution processes within the enterprise data management system.</li>\n <li>Support reporting, analytics, and downstream data integration processes connected to the EDM platform. </li>\n <li>Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for market, reference, and transactional data. </li>\n <li>Integrate data from internal and external vendors, APIs, flat files, and enterprise applications. </li>\n <li>Implement data quality checks, reconciliations, exception handling, and monitoring processes. </li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders in an agile, squad-based model. </li>\n <li>Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices and standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). </li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in <strong>data engineering</strong>, building and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines. </li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in <strong>SQL</strong> with expertise in data modeling and data warehousing concepts. </li>\n <li>Hands-on experience supporting and developing solutions within Markit EDM. </li>\n <li>Experience working with market data, reference data, or financial services data platforms. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>Python</strong> for data processing, automation, and integration. </li>\n <li>Experience troubleshooting complex production data issues. </li>\n <li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>Pay Philosophy:</strong> The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
