We are committed to serving <strong>all children</strong>, including those with disabilities, by creating inclusive, enriching environments where every child can learn, grow, and succeed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an early head start pre-k teacher, this position offers an extensive benefits package that can not only serve you but also your young ones! </p>\n<p><strong><em>Our unique benefits include:</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Compensation up to $22.00-$26.00/hr with applicable certifications</li>\n <li>Employee Discounted Day Care</li>\n <li>Health Insurance-Medical, Vision & Dental(Orthodontics included)</li>\n <li>Paid Holiday's & Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>Benefit Time:  Vacation, Sick, Personal Days</li>\n <li>Short Term & Long Term Disability</li>\n <li>403B & Pension Plan, after one year of service</li>\n <li>Tuition Remittance Program & Paid Training</li>\n <li>Loan Forgiveness Program</li>\n <li>On-Site Covered Paid Parking</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Overview of job responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan and implement with room staff team a curriculum that will address both individual children’s and group needs appropriately utilizing EHS curriculum.</li>\n <li>Provide supervision, role modeling, and support and encourage professional development of all child care staff and volunteers through team meetings, shared program planning, and day to day interactions.</li>\n <li>Flexibility and ability to work in all classroom environments for children 6 weeks to 3 years of age as needed to meet the required classroom ratio.</li>\n <li>Monitor and maintain the classroom environment including cleanliness, minor repairs, health and safety issues, inventory and request supplies and equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications require the following for the role of a Pre-K Teacher:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Clearance through NYS Central Registry is required.</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent and at least with one year experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years.</li>\n <li>Associates’ Degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Must meet NYS/Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations requirements.</li>\n <li>Must meet health standards for OCFS licensing, be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to participate in all developmentally appropriate activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our Day Care Environment:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Physical contact with children ages six (6) weeks to three (3) years of age.  </li>\n <li>Provide support to program needs by ensuring classroom ratios are met.</li>\n <li>Position has both internal contacts within the organization and external contacts within the community, which require considerable tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. </li>\n <li>The utmost of integrity is required to safeguard confidential proprietary information. </li>\n <li>Weather permitting daily walks and outdoor activities with the children.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer:</strong>  <em>The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to providing a respectful environment for all applicants and employees that is free from unlawful discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic protected by law</em></p>",
