Responsibilities Position Summary: The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains the inventory database and ensures daily inventory levels meet distribution and operational needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Entering data into inventory database about quantities of issued and transferred parts and inventory Resolving Inventory shortage discrepancies Receiving manufactured parts into stock and issue out to upcoming jobs Consolidating manufactured parts to maximize shelf space Assisting in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency Identifying parts through the use of SAP and drawings Auditing locations for part and count for accuracy (i.e., work order and 3-Stage put away checks) Investigating missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders Monitoring and keeping an updated shortage list available for the Inventory Management team Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 1 year of inventory control experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Strong computer skills including MS Office Accurate data entry skills Technical orientation Excellent organization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer service orientation Team orientation Self-motivated and detail-oriented Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and multi-task on a daily basis Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language ADA Requirements: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
