Credit Union Position Summary Holy Family University is seeking a part-time Clinician to provide direct clinical services to undergraduate and graduate students across the Philadelphia Main and Newtown campuses. The position involves up to 24 hours per week focusing on short-term individual counseling, consultation with faculty and staff, and shared crisis on-call duties to ensure continuity of care. In addition to clinical services, the clinician will support mental health outreach and tabling events, engage the community in training and workshops, and participate in campus-wide visit and orientation days.
This role offers a highly flexible work environment designed to accommodate various working hours and scheduling needs, including the option to structure the position as a 10, 11, or 12-month appointment. While the role is primarily in-person, it is eligible for a flexible work arrangement that may include telehealth or remote work. The ideal schedule would allow for two-days per week at the Philadelphia Main Campus and one-day per week at the Newtown East campus in Newtown,
PA Candidates must be proficient in the technology required to support a flexible, multi-location work environment.

Essential Functions:
Job duties that must be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, and may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. Provide direct clinical services to university undergraduate and graduate students. Conduct and document short-term individual counseling. Consult with faculty, staff, and administrators regarding students of concern. Coach colleagues through the referral to counseling process. Support mental health efforts on both the Philadelphia Main and Newtown (East and West) campuses. Collaborate with clinical staff in providing continuity of care and follow up for students with significant and emergent emotional and psychological needs. Consult with parents, treatment providers, faculty, academic Deans, Residence Life staff, off-campus Counseling Services, other campus offices and students, when appropriate and with appropriate authorization, in order to provide quality care to students. Make referrals to off-campus therapists, clinics, or hospitals, when appropriate. Maintenance of thorough and prompt documentation into the record keeping system. Participate in providing educational, outreach and prevention programs originating from Counseling Services. Initiate and participate in campus wide events, visit days and orientation activities. Participate in weekly staff meetings. General Expectations:
Employees are expected to accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner and to strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Counseling or Psychology or Social Work. Minimum one-year experience in behavioral health providing direct clinical patient services. Preferred case management, triage and/or intake assessment experience. Preferred experience with risk assessment, safety planning and short-term crisis management. Working knowledge of ethical standards and laws that pertain to mental health and college mental health, such as HIPM, FERPA and ADA. Preferred experience working with a diverse population. Active PA license. LPC or LCSW. Knowledge. Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to follow university policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the campus community. Ability to work as part of a highly cohesive and interdisciplinary team. Experience in maintaining confidentiality and highly sensitive information. Knowledge of and ability to follow University and Counseling Services policies and procedures. Ability to multi-task and manage large levels of information in a fast-paced environment. Ability to relate to a diverse population and to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations. Strong organizational skills and ability to attend to detail and set priorities. Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and composure in crisis situations. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Ability to work under pressure with multiple interruptions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain constant alertness, quick thinking, and continual sound judgment. Work Environment:
Operates in an office environment that may have frequent interruptions. The area is well-lit, temperature controlled and free from hazards. Noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
Physical Requirements:
Communicates frequently, in person, over the phone, or via a computer. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communication. Regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Manual dexterity is needed to operate a computer keyboard. Operates standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
