    "description": "<h2>Job Details</h2>\n<p>Patient Access | Troy | Full-time | First Shift</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Requirements</h2>\n<p>Patient Registration I position’s major duties include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registering patients while demonstrating strong guest relations and exceptional customer service and effective communication.</li>\n <li>Reviewing all scheduled outpatient visits prior to service to ensure that all patients have been screened for discounts</li>\n <li>Ensuring that payer sources and payment arrangements and options have been discussed</li>\n <li>Assist patients with the completion of Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Application and Medicaid Applications (if applicable)</li>\n <li>Review an account for quality and confirmation and can demonstrate the ability to update all aspects of a patient account</li>\n <li>Demonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature and documents</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Qualifications: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous registration or scheduling experience strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>\n <li>Meets Pre-Screening Protocol and testing for proficiencies in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledge</li>\n <li>Demonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levels</li>\n <li>Ability to learn site specific patient processing software.</li>\n <li>Computer literate and very strong with Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Ability to function in high paced often stressful environment and/or circumstances while maintaining a respectful, caring and professional manner </li>\n <li>Flexible schedule to fit staffing needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma required</li>\n <li>One or more years of medical office or customer service experience required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
