    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Provide care to patients by assisting clinical staff in all patient rooming activities as directed by providers and supervised as duties require. &nbsp;Tasks include chart preparation, rooming patients, performing procedures, and point of care testing as well as performing a variety of administrative duties as assigned. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) will actively participate as a member of the healthcare team, in a single practice or specialty, to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p><ol><li>High School diploma or equivalent required.&nbsp;</li><li>Completion of a medical assistant program or other clinical training program. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Training as an &nbsp;emergency medical &nbsp;technician or paramedic preferred</li></ol><p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Healthcare experience preferred. &nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Knowledge of medical practice and patient care, medical equipment and instruments and procedures. &nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of physician office procedures, medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to take vital signs and record and maintain test results. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to record data accurately using a computer. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong><u>License/Certification/Registration:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.</li></ol><p><strong><u>SUPERVISION RECEIVED</u></strong></p><p>Receives direct supervision from the Practice Manager.</p><p><strong><u>SUPERVISION GIVEN</u></strong></p><p>None</p>",
