The ideal candidate is eager to learn the trade, has a strong attention to detail, and can support licensed electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs while maintaining a professional attitude and excellent customer service on job sites. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist electricians in the installation of wiring, lighting, and control systems Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using hand tools and power tools Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors Supply or hold materials or tools for electricians Clean and prepare work areas for electrical installations Follow instructions and safety procedures on job sites ACCOUNTABILITIES Support electricians in the installation of wiring, lighting, outlets, and other electrical systems according to project specifications and safety codes Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and assisting in keeping the work area clean and organized to minimize hazards ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT This position reports to the local Branch Leader and is responsible for engaging with the install team and all of our customers. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED preferred 0–2 years of electrical or construction experience Must be willing to learn and take direction Ability to work in various environments (outdoors, tight spaces, heights, etc.) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred OSHA 10 certification is a plus, but must be willing to obtain one once hired BEHAVIORAL PROFILE Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend basic electrical codes, safety instructions, and work orders. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing. Able to explain job-related tasks and respond to inquiries from customers and coworkers. Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Capable of measuring, calculating dimensions, and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Ability to use tools like tape measures and voltage testers accurately. Reasoning Ability Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions to assist electricians in performing tasks. Able to troubleshoot basic electrical issues, identify potential problems, and contribute to their resolution. Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, maintaining attention to detail and safety. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands for handling tools and equipment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and move about job sites. The role involves frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, bending, and crawling in various work environments. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
