Orange Youth Academy in Orlando, Florida, is a secure Youth Academy serving males ages 13 to 17, offering trauma-informed care for mental health and substance abuse needs. The program integrates clinical therapy, education, restorative justice, therapeutic recreation, and life skills development. Youth typically stay based on treatment progress, participating in individual, family, and group therapy; victim impact awareness; pre-vocational preparation; and enrichment activities such as art, music, and recreation. This leadership role supports overall operations and ensures program excellence, compliance, and staff development.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directly or indirectly supervise facility staff, supporting day-to-day operations</li>\n<li>Serve as Facility Administrator designee in their absence</li>\n<li>Help lead facility service delivery to ensure youth and staff safety and a therapeutic environment</li>\n<li>Support implementation of the program’s therapeutic model for youth development</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, fire, and safety codes</li>\n<li>Assist with performance and quality improvement initiatives</li>\n<li>Support licensing, accreditation, and contract compliance</li>\n<li>Report incidents or concerns in accordance with YOI and customer guidelines</li>\n<li>Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding staff following YOI HR policies</li>\n<li>Follow procedures for purchasing, accounting, and budgeting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties Include</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a high standard of professional behavior as a role model for youth</li>\n<li>Participate in required training and professional development</li>\n<li>Report any incidents of concern, including youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth interactions</li>\n<li>Document physical interventions and unusual events per guidelines</li>\n<li>Assist with organizing and leading the local advisory council</li>\n<li>Build strong community partnerships and volunteer engagement</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences</li>\n<li>Minimum of three years’ experience working with at-risk youth and families</li>\n<li>At least two years of supervisory experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in a human services field</li>\n<li>Two years’ experience managing a residential or community-based program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills</li>\n<li>Able to coach staff and lead change in a team environment</li>\n<li>Organized, motivated, and able to work independently</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds</li>\n<li>Must be able to transport clients and respond to physical needs</li>\n<li>Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by state guidelines</li>\n<li>Must pass Professional Assault Response (PAR) certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to work long or irregular hours as needed</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n<li>Must meet customer-required criminal background standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apply Today</span><br>Make a lasting difference in a youth’s life.
