And for severe trauma cases, immediate air transport is available to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, the only state-accredited Level II Adult Trauma Center in Pinellas County.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Staffed by board certified emergency medicine physicians and an expertly trained clinical team, the ER offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including diagnostic imaging and laboratory services. This 11,400-square-foot facility features eight patient rooms and provides state-of-the-art services, technologies and care for all members of your family – from infants and children, to teens and adults.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This emergency department is part of Bayfront Hospital and the Orlando Health system of care, which includes award-winning hospitals and ERs, specialty institutes, urgent care centers, primary care practices and outpatient facilities that span Florida’s east to west coasts. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works closely with Radiologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates professional judgment in service delivery and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.</li>\n <li>Delivers appropriate care, recognizes patient conditions, and ensures successful completion of procedures.</li>\n <li>Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.</li>\n <li>Adheres to Orlando Health mission statement and commitment to excellence standards.</li>\n <li>Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs.</li>\n <li>Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.</li>\n <li>Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history and ensures accurate documentation.</li>\n <li>Positions patient, equipment, and associated devices. Manipulates technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.</li>\n <li>Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.</li>\n <li>Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.</li>\n <li>Administers medical aid as required for any emergency situation.</li>\n <li>Applies appropriate standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.</li>\n <li>Assists in supervising student sonographers.</li>\n <li>Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.</li>\n <li>Ensures the safety of all customers.</li>\n <li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Other Related Functions:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follows established standards of practice for image processing and interpretation.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.</li>\n <li>Maintains well-stocked and organized work areas.</li>\n <li>Works at any facility as required by operational needs or organizational demands.</li>\n <li>Provides patient transport.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Training:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited school of sonography and meets American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) eligibility guidelines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Licensure/Certification:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer(RDMS)registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).</li>\n <li>Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certificate.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures which may include invasive procedures such as biopsies, amniocentesis, thoracentesis, breast cyst aspiration, and breast localization, and knowledge of Doppler, 3D/4D, and pediatric sonography.</li>\n</ul>",
