          "text": "<p>Assist in the production of ductile iron pipes by supporting the operation of casting machines. This role involves maintaining proper equipment conditions, handling materials safely, and ensuring quality production in a high-heat industrial environment</p><p><strong>Pay Rate Between </strong>&#xa0; $25.96 to $28.96</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Check the temperature of the iron every half hour.</li><li>Remove slag from iron, utilizing a skimmer.</li><li>After each pouring, add a can of blacking into chute and trough.</li><li>Remove build-up from quad ladle as needed.</li><li>Always keep the quad ladle full.</li><li>Ensure the trough is heated properly before commencing.</li><li>While mold is spinning, apply grease on spigot ring using a brush.</li><li>Remove the iron from spigot ring and spill tray.</li><li>Remove sliver from trough.</li><li>Remove all build-up of iron, slag, blacking from trough.</li><li>Apply blacking as needed to prevent iron from sticking.</li><li>Keep open communication with Iron Pourer, Trough-person and Machine Operator.</li><li>Inspect casting machine mold for defects.</li><li>Inspect and place each core on the casting machine.</li><li>Utilize control panels to operate machines.</li><li>Inspect and mark each pipe.</li><li>Perform all Pipe Maker duties for relief purposes.</li></ul><p><strong>All rates are in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)</strong></p>",
