As part of a forward-thinking media organization, you won’t just observe—you’ll actively contribute to the storytelling that informs and connects our community across platforms.</p>\n<p>From breaking news to digital-first storytelling, this is your opportunity to experience what modern journalism really looks like.</p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<p>This is a fast-paced, real newsroom—no two days are the same.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Create &amp; Contribute:</strong> Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms</li>\n <li><strong>Be Where the Action Is:</strong> Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers—both in the newsroom and out in the field</li>\n <li><strong>Pitch Ideas:</strong> Bring fresh story ideas to the table and help shape coverage that matters to our audience</li>\n <li><strong>Get Hands-On:</strong> Learn how to shoot video, frame compelling visuals, and understand what makes a story stand out</li>\n <li><strong>Behind the Scenes:</strong> Gain exposure to control room operations and how live broadcasts come together in real time</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Gain</strong></p>\n<p>This internship is designed to build real skills—not just fill a line on your résumé.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hands-on experience in <strong>modern, multi-platform journalism</strong></li>\n <li>A deeper understanding of how today’s newsrooms operate—from broadcast to digital and social</li>\n <li>Opportunities to build a <strong>professional portfolio with published or produced work</strong></li>\n <li>Mentorship from experienced journalists who know the industry inside and out</li>\n <li>Valuable connections to jumpstart your career in media</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>To be considered, candidates must:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Be at least 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate</li>\n <li>Be at least a sophomore at an accredited college/university</li>\n <li>Be eligible to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Be available to work <strong>on-site at WLUK in Green Bay, WI </strong>approximately 15/20 hours per week for 10 weeks</li>\n <li>Be able to start between <strong>June 1 – June 19, 2026</strong></li>\n <li>Have reliable transportation (housing/relocation is not provided)</li>\n <li>Be passionate about local news, storytelling, and community impact</li>\n <li>Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li>\n <li>Internship is unpaid</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>All candidates must apply through our careers portal and complete pre-employment requirements.</i></p>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us</strong></p>\n<p>Because journalism in 2026 is more dynamic than ever—and this is your chance to be part of it.</p>\n<p>Join a team that values accuracy, creativity, and impact.
