TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level II Trauma Center </li>\n <li>Primary Stroke Center </li>\n <li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li>\n <li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li>\n <li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. </p>\n<h2>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</h2>\n<p><strong>Reports To:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Executive Director of Surgical Services</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedulers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee and manage all surgical services scheduling operations, ensuring efficient and accurate coordination of operating rooms, procedural areas</li>\n <li>Develop, implement, and maintain standardized scheduling policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize operating room utilization and support organizational goals related to access, throughput, and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary point of accountability for block scheduling management, including allocation, monitoring, release, and optimization of block time in collaboration with surgical service leaders and physicians.</li>\n <li>Analyze scheduling data and performance metrics (e.g., utilization, cancellation rates, delays, case duration accuracy) to identify trends, resolve inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.</li>\n <li>Integration of the TMH mission, vision, values, and strategic plan  </li>\n <li>Human resource management and professional practice development</li>\n <li>Regulatory readiness and standard compliance </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's Degree in Nursing</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) years of job-related leadership experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior experience as a Scheduler and working in an OR setting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>-</h2>\n<p><em>Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
