This role involves providing civil engineering design services to a diverse range of clients throughout central Illinois. Projects will vary but will focus on civil-related work, including commercial, residential, governmental, educational, and industrial site development.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Working closely with other engineers, architects, and project managers in planning, design, construction, coordination, and execution of complex projects while maintaining conformance with engineering standards, established practices, and applicable codes.&nbsp;</li><li>Master planning, terrain modeling and earthwork analysis, site utility conveyance and permitting, pavement design, hydrologic &amp; hydraulic analysis and design, stormwater detention and water quality design, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), pavement marking, and signing plans.</li><li>Complete preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications for roadway and site development projects.&nbsp;</li><li>The ability to directly interface with clients and project stakeholders in a manner that is both professional and that furthers business development.</li><li>Strong organizational &amp; communication skills related to design, report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, and attendance at client meetings.</li></ul><p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university</li><li>8+ years of experience in engineering practice</li><li>Fundamentals of Engineering Certification</li><li>Strong technical skills to include experience with Microsoft Office products with exposure to computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD</li><li>Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple competing deadlines</li><li>Ability to accept periodic out-of-town travel assignments and work overtime as needed</li><li>Ability to work in the field as needed</li><li>Valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record</li><li id=\"isPasted\">A Professional Engineer&rsquo;s License in IL or MO</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Previous experience in site development and drainage</li><li>Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and various hydraulic modeling software such as Storm and Sanitary Analysis or Pond Pack.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Who is CMT?</strong></p><p><strong>CMT</strong> is recognized as a leader in delivering solutions across the entire infrastructure lifecycle, providing our clients with services across the spectrum of planning, design, construction, technology, and funding strategy.
