text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY OF POSITION:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">The Adjunct Instructor teaches one or more courses within the Construction Trades Technology (CTT) division, (no more than 7.5 credits per semester). </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Prepares and maintains updated instructional materials, course outlines, and curriculum.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Develops and submits current syllabus, using the college template.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Prepares administrative documents, such as student withdrawals and attendance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Evaluates student performance and submits grades to the registrar.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Mainta<span style=\"font-size: 15px\">in office hours (in-person, telephonically, or online).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Participates in professional development as necessary to be proficient in the college’s current technologies and learning platform (Empower and MyCampus).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Complies with College policies, procedures and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Performs other related duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated professional and/or teaching experience in <span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Construction Trades.</span></span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Excellent oral and written communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a multi-cultural environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel or PowerPoint.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated teaching experience in a post-secondary environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated experience in curriculum development.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated experience with distance delivery. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: post-secondary educational work experience; North Slope Borough [NSB] institutions and organizations; Iñupiat culture, language, values, and traditions.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Ability to interpret and represent College actions and western institutions to the North Slope community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Ability to support Ilisagvik College’s mission.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif; font-weight: bold\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES/TRAINING [Required]:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\">Has attained the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\"> High school diploma or equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\"> Journeyman status with five years of recent related professional experience or equivalent qualifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\"> One year of related professional industry or post-secondary teaching experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\"> Certified NCCER Instructor or have the ability to become a certified NCCER Instructor within 90 days.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif\"> Valid driver’s license.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif;
