Job Title: Area Maintenance - Facilities Specialist
Type of Position: Full-time, Year Round
Schedule: Generally, five eight-hour days/week (includes weekends/holidays
and some overtime may be required during Winter Season)
Generally, four ten-hour days/week during Summer/Off Season
Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities, including kitchen equipment, heating and ventilating equipment, and plumbing fixtures. Oversee compliance regarding fire protection systems. Oversee elevator maintenance contractors and perform monthly inspections. Work with state inspector to facilitate bi-annual boiler inspections. Assist in monitoring equipment and conditions at water and wastewater plants. As a member of the Area Maintenance team, this position will also work outdoors with our guests, when needed. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
Essential Functions
Responsible for maintenance and repair of existing electrical, mechanical and general facilities and equipment. Daily checks of the building mechanicals. Perform maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment, including refrigeration, ovens, steam kettles, etc., at the Basin and Valley base areas. Perform daily rounds-check on boilers, sprinkler systems, fire pump room, and fire panels Perform routine maintenance and operations of physical structure of property, all mechanical, electrical, boilers, snowmelt, ventilation, and other related equipment which contribute to safe and efficient operation of the facility Ensure inspections and certifications for property equipment are completed as required Work with outside contractors, as needed Maintain accurate records of all work activities using work order system, tracking progress to ensure completion of work Monitor supplies and fill out requisitions for supplies when needed Occasionally may need to ski/snowboard or operate a snowmobile to access on mountain facilities Responsible for safe disposal of all waste materials generated during repairs and maintenance Maintain tools and equipment; Maintain work area in safe, secure and efficient manner Support the broader Area Maintenance Team, when needed, including assisting with parking cars, snow removal, general maintenance work, inspections, etc.
