The Crystal Lake Park District is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and energetic </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Dance Instructor</span></span><span> to join our Cultural Arts team!</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>Whether you're teaching a tiny dancer taking their first steps or helping experienced performers perfect a recital routine, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact while sharing your love of dance.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Classification:</span></span><span> Part-Time, Non-Exempt</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Schedule:</span></span><span> Approximately 5 hours per week; hours vary based on class offerings and enrollment</span></p>\n<br>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></span></p>\n<p><span>As a Dance Instructor, you'll plan and lead engaging dance classes while creating a positive, welcoming environment where participants can learn, grow, and have fun.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Responsibilities Include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Planning and teaching assigned dance classes for participants ranging from walking age through 18 years old.</span></li>\n<li><span>Creating lesson plans and choreography in collaboration with the Recreation Supervisor-Cultural Arts &amp; Special Events.</span></li>\n<li><span>Preparing students for parent watch days and the annual dance recital.</span></li>\n<li><span>Building confidence, creativity, and a love of dance in every participant.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintaining a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicating effectively with participants, parents, guardians, and staff.</span></li>\n<li><span>Serving as a positive role model both inside and outside the classroom.</span></li>\n<li><span>Promoting Park District programs and activities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Completing attendance records and program evaluations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Following all Park District policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<br>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">What We're Looking For</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Dance training and experience working with children from walking age through 18 years old.</span></li>\n<li><span>Teaching experience is helpful but not required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to motivate and engage students of varying ages and skill levels.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong organizational skills and reliability.</span></li>\n<li><span>Patience, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and families.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Crystal Lake Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
