Working with suppliers and customers will require tact, resourcefulness and a working knowledge of Company policies, practice and procedures.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ol start=\"2\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li><strong>REPORTING:</strong><ol start=\"2\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><li>This position directly reports to the Plant Manager.</li></ol></li></ol><ol start=\"3\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:</strong></li></ol><ul start=\"3\" style=\"margin-left: 0.05in;\"><li>&nbsp;Coordinate with Sales after order receipt to ensure all customer information is received in a timely fashion.</li><li>Determine whether to source tooling design in-house or to outside supplier to meet schedule.</li><li>Determine whether to source tool build, repair or major revision work in-house or to outside supplier to meet schedule&nbsp;</li><li>Determine whether to source design and/or build of secondary in-house or to outside supplier to meet schedule.</li><li>Ensure the ordering of any required capital equipment is integrated into the project schedule.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that the critical dimensions and methods of measurement are all identified and agreed to early in the project</li><li>Coordinate any required meetings from feasibility through pre-production; insure people come with appropriate information; make follow-up assignments to people.</li><li>Schedule molding machines for sampling with maximum notice</li><li>Schedule ISIR with maximum notice</li><li>Ensure required sample material and inserts are available when needed</li><li>Authorize all rework to tools &ndash; no work is done without the PM&rsquo;s oversight</li><li>Update and publish project schedules</li><li>Communicate promptly with management when there is a risk of a project being late</li><li>Manage the project budget</li><li>Recommend when a tool should be accepted by manufacturing</li><li>Primary contact with customer during project life</li><li>Provide input for improvements to the project management system</li><li>Be aware of Customer Focus and it&rsquo;s meaning; participate in Customer Focus team activities if required.</li><li>Responsible for placement of tooling, auxiliary and automation equipment with effective purchasing and cost guidelines; maintain promised dates at a quality level that is acceptable to TPM and it&rsquo;s customers</li><li>Assist other TPM plants with project management oversight as required</li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><ol start=\"4\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li><strong>HEALTH &amp; SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ol><ul style=\"margin-left: 72px \"><li>4.1 The Production Cell Leader bears the responsibility of adhering to the Company&#39;s Health &amp; Safety Program, encompassing compliance with Occupational Health &amp; Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health &amp; Safety policies.
