PGW is dedicated to becoming the greenest natural gas delivery company in the region.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) is offering internships/co-ops for Computer Science students in our Information Service Governance  Department. Opportunities are available during the academic/calendar year and summer months.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The PGW Internship Program is designed for students currently enrolled FULL-TIME at an accredited college or university with a sophomore classification or above ONLY.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>If you are not a full-time student, please refer to our other current employment opportunities.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Research Projects</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ongoing review of national gas energy efficiency programs.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Program designs</li>\n <li>Targeted Measures</li>\n <li>Incentive levels</li>\n <li>Marketing Practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Provide recommendations and support program for designing future EnergySense energy efficiency programs and low income weatherization programs.</p>\n<p>Research grant opportunities and other programs in region that can support energy efficiency, and maintain a catalog of those organizations.</p>\n<p>Review of new customer service program opportunities.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Research of best practices within the industry</li>\n <li>Compilation of program materials</li>\n <li>Program marketing and participation</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Support customer service initiatives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Data Analysis</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze program data and customer billing data to determine if energy efficiency measures are achieving savings, and make recommendations for program improvement based off analysis</li>\n <li>Philadelphia demographics & PGW customer data to inform targeted marketing</li>\n <li>Refining program marketing outreach databases for targeted outreach</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Marketing/Communications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assistance in development of communications materials, drafting newsletters and social media posts</li>\n <li>Identifying key outreach partners & stakeholders</li>\n <li>Analyze data from recent marketing campaigns to identify trends and inform strategy</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Communications, or a or other related field of study and currently enrolled in Graduate School OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Public Policy, Environmental Studies or other related field of study as a Junior or Senior.</li>\n <li>Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.</li>\n <li>Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others in the best interest of PGW while maintaining professional effective business relationships.</li>\n <li>Be able to commit to 15-20 hours per week to the program (year-round interns);</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PGW is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/VAAP/EEO. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location: 800 W Montgomery Ave, Philadelphia, PA19122</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>While we appreciate all responses, only those who are uniquely qualified will be contacted.
