From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Step into Your New Role</strong>  </p>\n<p><strong>Kleinfelder Construction Services is seeking full-time experienced Schedulers with transportation construction management experience for opportunities throughout Southern California Southern California (Los Angeles County, Orange County, Inland Empire).  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of Caltrans specifications and requirements for CPM schedules.</li>\n <li>Create, monitor, and report on the project schedule, ensuring the effectiveness of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).</li>\n <li>Track, analyze, and report on project schedule information, including current status and forecasted changes to the schedule baseline.</li>\n <li>Ensure accuracy of project schedules and provide input on baseline management.</li>\n <li>Coordinate project schedules, tasks, deliverables, updates, and distribute project data and reports effectively.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Project Managers and Functional Team Members to develop and update project baseline schedules per the Client's approved Work Breakdown Structure.</li>\n <li>Support Project Team and Project Control support staff to verify compliance with approved milestone dates of the baseline schedule.</li>\n <li>Assist in planning and scheduling through various phases of project development (initiation, planning, design, right of way, construction, and close-out).</li>\n <li>Retrieve, consolidate, and analyze information from various sources.</li>\n <li>Apply schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements.</li>\n <li>Identify schedule delays, impacts, and variances to the baseline and communicate plans and schedules to the Project Manager and Project Team.</li>\n <li>Report on schedule progress in program meetings, forecast reports, and status reports.</li>\n <li>Analyze cost and resource loading in the baseline and monthly schedule updates and run regular cash flow reports.</li>\n <li>Prepare what-if scenario schedules and inform management of possible outcomes.</li>\n <li>Review/analyze time impacts and provide time impact resolution.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Foster and maintain a collaborative work environment.</li>\n <li>Work independently, make effective decisions concerning construction work in progress, and solve field problems.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with various agencies and departments.</li>\n <li>Possess knowledge of civil components such as earthwork, grading, drainage, AC and PCC pavement, traffic control, SWPPP measures, signing and striping, and utility coordination.</li>\n <li>Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Caltrans construction practices preferred.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.</li>\n <li>Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining focus and control under pressure.</li>\n <li>Professional approach to developing strong client relations.</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, including scheduling, budgeting, resource management, and project management software.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand project workplans, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents.</li>\n <li>Exceptional analytical and planning skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the elements of a WBS and how it is referenced in developing a project workplan.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.</li>\n <li>California Professional Engineer's license preferred.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience desired; contractor experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 2 years of experience serving as a Resident Engineer, Inspector or Office Engineer</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Proactive and personable with a strong ability to learn quickly.</li>\n <li>Capable of working effectively in a team environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
