You’ll work alongside experienced engineers while developing technical knowledge and practical networking skills in a collaborative aerospace and telecommunications environment.
This position does not currently require a security clearance. However, future assignments, program requirements, or career progression opportunities may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in supporting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related systems
Help monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity or configuration issues under the guidance of senior engineers
Support implementation and maintenance activities for satellite ground and enterprise network environments
Participate in network testing, validation, and system integration activities
Contribute to documentation such as network diagrams, configuration records, procedures, and operational instructions
Work with cross-functional teams to support network readiness and operational support activities
Assist with analyzing network performance data and identifying potential issues or improvements
Gain exposure to network security concepts, routing protocols, and infrastructure best practices
Learn and apply networking standards and processes in support of mission-critical systems
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
General experience in or a basic knowledge of networking, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure support
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages and ideas clearly and effectively
Can cultivate meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team, while being open and responsive to constructive feedback as they guide and mentor you
The ability to think outside the box to help solve problems, with the humility to ask for help when needed
Adaptability to a dynamic environment and the readiness to take on any new tasks that are handed to you
A motivation to achieve outcomes and results
Capable of handling multiple tasks at once and completing them on time with mostly no errors
An eagerness to develop professionally, continuously learn, and share knowledge with others
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
Exposure to networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, or firewalls
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar networking technologies
Academic or personal experience working in Linux environments
Familiarity with network monitoring or troubleshooting tools
Exposure to Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Interest in satellite communications, network operations, and ground system infrastructure
We’ll also need you to:
Be able to travel up to 15%
Be a U.S. Citizen
