Academic Interventionists are responsible for planning and instructing small group lessons, supporting students with exceptionalities in the general education classroom, and supporting students in a variety of settings at Calvin Christian School. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university is preferred for the Academic Interventionist position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Essential Duties</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The following expectations for an Academic Interventionist at Calvin Christian School.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In faithful living one is expected to: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be committed to obeying Christ, your Redeemer.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Have a regular and active devotional life.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Practice love, joy, patience, kindness, self-control, gentleness, faithfulness, and truthfulness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Model biblical principles in making choices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be humble in spirit but bold in Christ-like practice.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be conscientious and responsible.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In teaching a class one is expected to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">engage students' attention.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">follow plans as prepared by Student Service Plans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">collect and monitor student data</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">develop rapport with students and be able to manage student behavior</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">prepare and instruct lessons in reading and math with support of curriculum</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">show interest and wonder in all learning.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Education</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor’s degree in area of education or similar field preferred </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Experience</span></span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience working in a school and with children. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Spiritual Qualifications </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must have and profess a personal and mature commitment to faith in Jesus Christ and affirm the school’s statement of faith/basis of instruction and mission statement. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must believe, without reservation, and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and mission statement; possess a strong, clear Christian testimony; demonstrate a mature, godly spirit as a person of faith and prayer.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Supervisory Responsibility</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">None.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Hours</span></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monday through Friday during student attendance, hours are negotiable.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Pay &amp; Benefits</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This position is a part-time hourly position. Hourly pay ranges between $16-$18 (commensurate with experience). This roleis not eligible for benefits but does accrue Self-Care Time (SCT) per school policy.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Physical Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Sit and stand for long periods of time.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Speak clearly so listeners can understand.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understand the speech of another person.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must be able to work in a demanding work environment.  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, read, see and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to type, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
