Welcome to your estate of wellbeing. Position Summary: The Host is responsible for greeting and seat restaurant guests while demonstrating an upbeat, energetic, & welcoming personality. Acts as a restaurant concierge, you are the first interaction with our guests. Hourly Rate: $18.50/hour Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: • A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.• Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.• Will be responsible for making, changing, and confirming restaurant reservations via OpenTable & phone • Will follow up on hotel front desk requests regarding reservations, Taste of Guadalajara sign ups, special events, etc. • Help servers and other restaurant staff polish and roll silverware • Maintains cleanliness and organization of Host stand • Ensures opening, ongoing and closing side work is complete and signed off by a manager on duty • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude • Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Miramonte dress code standards • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time • Performs other related duties as assigned • Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests • Provides general resort information for guests • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort activities as well as any special events • Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction • Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating guests with a genuine and welcoming smile, inquiring about special occasions or dietary restrictions. • Using ticket printer to ensure communication regarding guests' reservations and ensure the servers receive the chit’s once the guest has been seated. • Take to go food orders for walk ups & call ins • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest Qualifications Prerequisites: • Excellent communication and listening skills.• Ability to work under pressure.• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.• Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.• Must be able to read, write and speak English • Possesses valid Food Handler’s card • Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written • Be highly detail orientated • Must possesses excellent communication skills • Be professional in appearance and demeanor • Ensures a teamwork environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays • Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates • Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests Education/Experience: • High School Diploma Physical Requirements: The physical requirements are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
