We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Safely operate various pieces of hand, powered or mobile equipment to meet site production goals.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><figure class=\"table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><ul><li>Comply with Loss Control (HSLP), Environmental, and NGM policies and procedures.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Teamwork.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Work Practices.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Perform preop inspections on all pieces of equipment and machinery prior to use.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>SKILLS – 8 OF 11 ARE REQUIRED. OF THE 8, TRUCKING AND UTILITIES ARE MANDATORY.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Haul Truck Operation * Demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper heading inspection. - Demonstrate the ability to perform preoperational checks - Demonstrate the ability to suppress airborne dust as required. - Demonstrate the ability to receive muck in a safe and efficient manner. - Demonstrate knowledge of safe ramp travel with regards to traffic and pedestrians - Demonstrate the ability to dump muck in a safe and efficient manner</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Backfilling</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Rockbreaker (Leeville only) optional</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Conveyor Operation * Demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper heading inspection. - Demonstrate the ability to perform pre operational checks - Demonstrate the ability follow the required lock-out/tag-out procedure - Demonstrate the ability to identify worn or defective components - Demonstrate knowledge of the required PPE for all aspects of the task - Demonstrate ability to monitor conveyor while in operation - Demonstrate the requirements to clear plugged chutes in a safe and efficient manner.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Backfill mixing (Chukar only)</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Slickline * optional - Demonstrate the requirements to perform a proper workplace inspection - Demonstrate the ability to perform pre operational checks - Demonstrate the safe start up of the slickline - Demonstrate knowledge of the lock-out / tag out procedure - Demonstrates securing and proper placement of the mixer truck - Demonstrate the ability to recognize workplace hazards - Demonstrate the ability to shut down, wash out and clean up slickline safely.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Water Truck Operation</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Dewatering – sumps/pumps operation</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Wash Bay Operation</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Utilities</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>Nipper</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><ul><li>The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.</li><li>The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.</li></ul></td></tr></tbody></table></figure><p><strong>About Nevada Gold Mines</strong></p><p>Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%) that combined our significant assets across Nevada in 2019 to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world.
