    "description": "<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">DENTAL ASSISTANT</span></span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Sets up instrument tray according to procedures to be performed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Escorts patients from reception area to treatment room and seats patient</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Takes patient’ vital signs as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reviews health history, charts notes, and enters information into electronic dental record. <br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Performs oral post treatment and provides patient instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Takes diagnostic x-ray images (certification required).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assists the dentist at chair by performing activities including, but not limited to, passing and receiving instruments, oral evacuation and retraction and preparation of materials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assists in providing prevention education to the patient.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assists with prophylaxis on patients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Prepares lab boxes and labels for mailing. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintains and sterilizes all equipment and instruments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">May participate in community and school activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Makes appointments and handles cancellations as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Performs other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>Minimum of six (6) months of clinical or dental experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.</li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity.</li>\n<li>Must demonstrate willingness to learn various dental instruments.</li>\n<li>Must be willing to attend workshops and training sessions.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to demonstrate willingness to work with patients in a friendly and professional manner.</span></li>\n</ul>",
