As a GSE Mechanic at AGI, you&#39;ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our ground service handling equipment, ensuring the reliability and safety of our operations.</span></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b><span> As a GSE Mechanic, your duties will include but are not limited to:</span></p><ul><li><b>Maintenance Excellence:</b><span> Perform repairs and maintenance on all ground service handling equipment, including preventative maintenance to keep machinery in top condition.</span></li><li><b>Installation and Modification:</b><span> Set up, install, modify, and renovate equipment as directed, contributing to the continuous improvement of our GSE fleet.</span></li><li><b>Inventory Management:</b><span> Maintain comprehensive inventory records of machinery, equipment repairs, and service cycle activities.</span></li><li><b>Equipment Operation:</b><span> Operate and drive various types of equipment, both motorized and non-motorized.</span></li><li><b>Preventative Maintenance:</b><span> Execute and demonstrate competence in preventative maintenance according to established schedules.</span></li><li><b>Emergency Response:</b><span> Respond to on-call maintenance requests, including after-hours service calls, as directed by the GSE Manager.</span></li><li><b>Diagnostic Expertise:</b><span> Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of ground support equipment as required.</span></li><li><b>Overhaul and Repair:</b><span> Modify and overhaul power plant, drive-train, brake, electric, and hydraulic systems to ensure equipment reliability.</span></li><li><b>Safety Compliance:</b><span> Follow all safety guidelines, including responding to accidents involving ground support equipment and adhering to security requirements.</span></li><li><b>Parts Management:</b><span> Pick up required parts and materials for maintenance and repair of ground support equipment.</span></li><li><b>Tool Proficiency:</b><span> Own and demonstrate proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment needed for equipment maintenance and repair.</span></li><li><b>Documentation:</b><span> Complete all maintenance and repair documentation in compliance with relevant regulations and AGI guidelines.</span></li><li><b>Clean and Serviceable:</b><span> Keep the GSE shop and its equipment clean and serviceable, reporting any deficiencies to management.</span></li><li><b>Fueling Responsibility:</b><span> Fuel equipment as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental requirements.</span></li><li><b>Professional Communication:</b><span> Liaise with Ramp management, customers, and staff in a professional manner when required.</span></li><li><b>Adaptable:</b><span> Perform any other duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><span>Minimum of 2 year of hands-on experience as a GSE/Diesel Mechanic (preferably in the aviation industry).</span></li><li><span>Technical certifications or licenses are preferred.</span></li><li><span>Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.</span></li><li><span>Strong teamwork and communication skills.</span></li><li><span>Valid motor vehicle driver’s license for both air side/non-air side operations.
