This role ensures that products meet Smardt Quality Standards, regulatory codes, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.</p>\n<p>The Quality Control Inspector performs in-process, receiving, and final inspections, identifies non-conformances, and collaborates cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, audit activities, and quality documentation to maintain and improve manufacturing quality performance.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This hire will be required to travel to Montreal, Canada for approximately 4 weeks of training, provided by Smardt.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Inspection and Quality Verification</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform in-process inspections to verify product conformance through visual inspections, dimensional checks, and measurement tests.</li>\n<li>Conduct receiving inspections of raw materials and components to ensure compliance with specifications and purchase requirements.</li>\n<li>Perform final inspections of completed assemblies and products prior to shipment.</li>\n<li>Verify that products comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.</li>\n<li>Review work orders, drawings, and inspection documentation for completeness and accuracy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Non-Conformance Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, document, and track non-conformances and quality deviations.</li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.</li>\n<li>Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes (RCA / CAPA) to prevent recurrence.</li>\n<li>Assist in evaluating rework, repair, and disposition of non-conforming materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality Documentation and Records</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and organize inspection records, quality reports, and test documentation.</li>\n<li>Ensure proper completion of quality documentation for projects, inspections, and corrective actions.</li>\n<li>Support traceability and documentation requirements in accordance with quality management system standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment and Testing</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain inspection and test equipment to ensure tools are accurate, calibrated, and compliant with quality procedures.</li>\n<li>Assist in verifying measurement systems and inspection tools used during manufacturing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Audits and Continuous Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support internal and external ISO quality audits, including preparation of documentation and inspection records.</li>\n<li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce defects.</li>\n<li>Provide feedback to production teams to improve product quality, process consistency, and manufacturing efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to production supervisors and quality leadership.</li>\n<li>Provide guidance to production personnel regarding quality requirements and inspection standards.</li>\n<li>Assist with training or guidance related to quality procedures and inspection practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>2+ years minimum experience as a Quality Inspector or in a related manufacturing quality role.</li>\n<li>Experience working in HVAC, mechanical equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments</li>\n<li>Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and assembly documentation</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and inspection accuracy</li>\n<li>Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of MS Office and digital documentation systems</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li>\n<li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary education (technical diploma, DEP/DEC equivalent, or relevant experience)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive compensation.</li>\n<li>Health and Dental Benefits from day 1.</li>\n<li>401K matching program.</li>\n<li>A collaborative global environment with opportunities for growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions:</span><br>The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
