We&#39;re looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional who enjoys working independently and takes pride in representing the company on the road.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Be familiar with the territory in which deliveries are made and accomplish the work efficiently.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Make deliveries promptly while maintaining a friendly and helpful relationship with the customer.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Secure all materials to prevent accidents, damage, and/or loss.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Use care in the handling of all materials, products, and equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sign, date, and completely fill out driver logs with accurate record of stops, operating hours and vehicle inspection.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Adhere to federal, state, local driving laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations, such as pre-trip inspections and driver logs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist customers in unloading and loading of delivered goods.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keep and use tarps on loads during poor weather conditions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain vehicle fluid levels, air pressures, and vehicle cleanliness inside and out.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Back up warehouse personnel</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Regular and predictable attendance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work safely.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working knowledge of federal, state, and local driving laws.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to drive safely and obey and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effectively use GPS, read maps, and follow directions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effective use of cell phone and hands-free equipment while driving.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effective communication, customer service, and stress management skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division skills with or without using a calculator.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain professional image as a representative of the company.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or equivalent; or</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Two years of commercial driving experience; or</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Background in Plumbing/Waterworks industry is desirable.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Certifications and/or Licenses:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Valid CDL License - requirement of Class A with acceptable driving record.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must meet DOT medical certification requirements.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
