    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Department:</strong> Main OR</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full Time Days</li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB ST Vincent's St. Clari  </li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Learn more</em></strong><strong><em> about nursing job opportunities at UAB Medicine</em></strong><strong><em> at an upcoming in-person connection opportunity on Tuesday, June 9 at The Reserve by Ferus in Trussville, Ala.</em></strong></p>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.</li>\n <li>Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.</li>\n <li>Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.</li>\n <li>Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li>\n <li>Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Preferences</h2>\n<p>No additional preferences.</p>\n<h2>About UAB St. Vincent’s</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
