You’ll ensure best practices are implemented, compliance standards are met, and every team member goes home safe each day.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Site Safety and Health Officer, you’ll support safety oversight for a dredging/marine construction project in Brooklyn, NY. Safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide daily onsite safety oversight in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements</li>\n <li>Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain written safety logs</li>\n <li>Review and enforce APPs, AHAs, and site-specific safety procedures</li>\n <li>Conduct site safety orientations for employees, subcontractors, and visitors</li>\n <li>Track and follow up on safety deficiencies through resolution</li>\n <li>Support incident/near-miss investigations and required reporting</li>\n <li>Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements</li>\n <li>Participate in pre-work, preparatory, and progress meetings as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience as an SSHO or Safety Professional on USACE, marine, dredging, or heavy civil projects preferred</li>\n <li><strong>EM 385-1-1 40 Hour required</strong></li>\n <li>OSHA 30 required</li>\n <li>First Aid/CPR certification within the last 2 years required</li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of APPs, AHAs, daily reporting, and field safety documentation</li>\n <li>Ability to be onsite full-time for the duration of the project</li>\n <li>Proficient Microsoft Office skills </li>\n <li><p>Embody HazTek's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, Accountability</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>HazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
