They are responsible for transporting material around the plant with a forklift and/or heavy machinery and prioritizing requests in order for production to run smoothly and efficiently.</p>\n<p><strong>Shifts Available: Monday through Thursday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM (with occasional mandatory OT on Fridays 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM) &amp; Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM</strong></p>\n<p><strong>General Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete daily forklift mechanical inspections (training provided); ensure that equipment is working properly and report any problems.</li>\n <li>Safely transport finished goods to inventory warehouse and follow proper stacking procedures.</li>\n <li>Operate sit-down propane forklift to load/unload coils, pallets and other material from flatbed and box trailers.</li>\n <li>Verify accuracy of inbound/outbound paperwork against actual shipped materials and, where applicable, enter information into computer systems.</li>\n <li>Prepare damage reports for cartons scrap or replace material following standard operating procedures.</li>\n <li>Follow standard operating procedures to safely unload steel in racks for operations &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.</li>\n <li>Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Material Handling: Move and stage material as scheduled for optimum machine efficiency. Provide machine support by emptying scrap tubs and ensuring lines are cleared of finished product. Locate material into finished goods as needed. Provide the line with needed materials</li>\n <li>Safety: Responsible for all safety aspects regarding forklift/heavy equipment. Daily checks must be completed and logged. All JI and Safety Protocol must be followed.
