This position is also responsible for preparing construction plans and</p><p>specifications for a variety of municipal and private development projects including street design,</p><p>sanitary collection, water distribution, grading, erosion control and stormwater management plans. This</p><p>position may occasionally participate and conduct construction site observations as well.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Drafting and Design:</strong> Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D to prepare detailed construction plans, profiles, cross-sections, and structural details.</li><li><strong>Plan Generation:</strong> Develop comprehensive plan sets, including grading, utility, drainage, and erosion control plans.</li><li><strong>Data Integration:</strong> Import and manipulate GIS data, topographic surveys, and laser scanning data into CAD software.</li><li><strong>Permit Preparation</strong>: Coordinate and compile technical permit application packages for local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., stormwater management, utility connections, right-of-way, and environmental permits). Monitor permit statuses, address review comments from agency engineers, and ensure designs comply with local municipal codes and zoning ordinances.</li><li><strong>Coordination Meetings:</strong> Attend construction coordination and pre-submittal meetings with local municipalities and regulatory authorities to review project plans, clarify design intent, and expedite approvals.</li><li><strong>Design Support:</strong> Assist engineers with routine calculations (e.g., earthwork volumes, pipe sizing, material take-offs) and ensure designs meet local agency standards.</li><li><strong>Quality Control: </strong>Perform self-checks and quality reviews of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company drafting standards.</li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to meet project deadlines and resolve design challenges.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>",
