This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment and brings a strong mix of mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge, including working with machinery, drives, and process equipment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Takes daily instruction and supervision from department lead and supervisor.</li><li>Mechanically inclined with experience in assembling and repairing frames and fixtures, process equipment, and drives.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical controls and mechanical parts of machinery.</li><li>Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly.</li><li>Read equipment prints and control diagrams to build machinery, enhance current processes, and troubleshoot problems.</li><li>Ability to understand production processes.</li><li>Maintain shop area and requisition the necessary parts.</li><li>Troubleshoot and maintain control panels.</li><li>Work safely with a wide variety of machines and hand tools (e.g. welders, torches, drills/drill press, grinders, volt meters, band saw, spray painting, forklifts, and high lift (JLG)</li><li>Light building maintenance; monitoring the building exterior and interior for maintenance needs and handling the repair.</li><li>Monitor equipment for scheduled maintenance and repair.</li><li>Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on current machinery.</li><li>Installation support for new equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of pipe fitting, wiring, and maintenance plumbing.</li><li>Maintain necessary maintenance logs, parts lists, and reference material.</li><li>Communicate with department managers and machine operators to gain a working knowledge of various machines, and quickly resolve M&amp;R issues.</li><li>Work with maintenance system Limble.</li><li>Issue, assign and manage work orders.</li><li>Open and close tickets.</li><li>Follow PM’s and manage maintenance reports.</li><li>Add additional information on equipment.</li><li>Train others and understand the equipment.</li><li>Must embrace and model AFC’s Core Values?</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
