    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our high-speed production operations. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment to support safe, consistent, and high-quality manufacturing performance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Respond promptly to equipment service requests and support production operators.</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on high-speed manufacturing machinery.</li><li>Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, including standard adjustments, settings, alignments, and part replacements.</li><li>Conduct safety and quality inspections according to Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>Start up and run machines following repairs to verify successful resolution.</li><li>Rebuild sub-assemblies as needed to maintain sufficient inventory.</li><li>Monitor equipment for signs of wear or safety concerns and report issues promptly.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum 5 years&rsquo; experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment performing corrective and preventive maintenance, preferably within cigarette manufacturing, <em>or</em> a 2-year degree in Industrial Systems, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.</li><li>Proven ability to diagnose and repair machinery issues quickly and accurately.</li><li>Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.</li><li>Experience with work-order systems such as Maximo preferred.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years old.</li><li>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Ability to pass written and hands-on mechanical reasoning and aptitude assessments.</li><li>Flexibility to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) including weekends and overtime as needed.</li><li>Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.</li></ul><p><strong>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><p>At JTI, our employees embody our Global Flagship Behaviors:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Keep It Simple:</strong> Seek efficient and practical solutions.</li><li><strong>Make It Happen:</strong> Drive results with initiative and accountability.</li><li><strong>Be Accountable:</strong> Take ownership of responsibilities and provide honest feedback.</li><li><strong>One Team:</strong> Collaborate across departments and value diverse perspectives.</li></ul><p><strong>Ready to Join Us?</strong><br>At JTI Liggett, we believe our people are our greatest strength.
