          "text": "<p>Our <strong>Wilmington, NC laboratory </strong>is looking for a <strong>Laboratory Assistant</strong> to join their team! The Laboratory Assistant will complete a wide variety of support tasks for the Lab Technicians and Lab Analysts, ensuring best quality by following SGS’ SOPs. The Laboratory Assistant works independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks. The Laboratory Assistant always follows safe laboratory practices and maintains a safe working environment.</p><p><strong>Job functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Signs out supplies from supply room.</li><li>Maintains adequate supply of accessories, consumables, chemicals, etc. in each lab, to ensure efficiency of production work.</li><li>Disposes of samples after the appropriate retention period.</li><li>Documents in LIMS and disposes of expired/depleted chemicals.</li><li>Assembles non-treated in-house media.</li><li>Decontaminates/cleans laboratory glassware, containers, accessories, etc., following SOPs.</li><li>Performs administrative tasks, as needed.</li><li>Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Performs other duties as required.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",
