    "jobDescription": "<h2></h2><h2>Job Description:</h2><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><h2><b>Principal Software Engineer, Technical Lead</b></h2><p></p><h2>We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead a squad within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group. You will be a hands-on developer contributing to building a suite of Micro-Services and UIs. Our team is responsible for designing &amp; implementing technical solutions for the Fidelity Asset Management Solutions division which provides retirement and college saving solutions.</h2><h2></h2><h2>The Expertise and Skills You <span>Bring</span></h2><h2></h2><h2>You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent and you want to learn more.</h2><ul><li><h2>A minimum of 10 years of design &amp; development experience.</h2></li><li><h2>Experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services and Angular or similar</h2></li><li><h2>DevOps enablers such as Maven and Jenkins</h2></li><li><h2>Karate, Playwright, Storybook or similar testing frameworks is a plus</h2></li><li><h2>As well as experience in Oracle SQL &amp; PLSQL</h2></li><li><h2>Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Kubernetes would be an advantage</h2></li><li><h2>Messaging frameworks such as Kafka would be good but not necessary</h2></li><li><h2>Investment Management/Business Domain business insight would be advantage, but it is not required.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2></h2><h2>You enjoy working in Agile Teams, focused on delivering incremental business value. You thrive in a team environment, collaborating openly and actively contributing to how work gets completed. You have skills such as:</h2><h2></h2><ul><li><h2>Ability to manage priorities effectively across multiple workstreams</h2></li><li><h2>Ability to triage, complete root cause analysis, and ability to make sound decisions in complex or time‑sensitive situations</h2></li><li><h2>Ability to promote and set standards in applying practices across the squad in areas such as Unit testing, Automation, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews</h2></li></ul><ul><li><h2>Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>The <span>Team</span></h2><h2></h2><h2>In this role, you will be contributing to the development of quality software components that are used by Portfolio Analysts and Managers in managing over $950 Billion assets under management held in Retirement &amp; College Savings solutions. You will have chance to engage, shape and contribute to our suite of Micro-Services and UIs that provides building, modeling and trading capabilities for these solutions.</h2><h2></h2><h2>We are looking for product-aware engineers who are passionate, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help us deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers. Your ideas will improve our solutions as well as develop your skills. We&#39;re looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.</h2><p></p><p><span>We are currently working in a hybrid model with some flexibility for remote working. However, Fidelity is gradually transitioning towards a full-time return to the office. We believe this will help strengthen our culture and enhance both the associate and customer experience.
