    "requisitionDescription": "<div id=\":1bt\" data-pasted=\"true\"><div id=\":1bs\"><div id=\"avWBGd-115\"><div dir=\"ltr\"><div dir=\"ltr\"><div dir=\"ltr\"><p><strong>Purpose of the <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">Position</span></span></span>:&nbsp;</strong><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">Security</span></span></span> Officers are responsible for the overall safety and <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">security</span></span></span> of the school. &nbsp;The <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">security</span></span></span> team plays a critical role in the school&rsquo;s culture and climate. &nbsp;A calm, structured, and positive learning environment is a top priority for the <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">security</span></span></span> team. &nbsp;<span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">Security</span></span></span> personnel actively engage in supporting students in order for them to be successful in the classroom and school community. &nbsp;The role of a <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">security officer</span></span></span> is physically demanding as they are the first line of defense to defuse and de-escalate student misconduct and/or serious incidents and must respond urgently.</p>&nbsp;<strong>Principal Accountabilities &amp; General Responsibilities:</strong><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Fulfill <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">duties</span></span></span> associated with the <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">post</span></span></span> assigned as part of the school&rsquo;s comprehensive <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">security</span></span></span> plan; maintain an orderly <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">post</span></span></span> and remain at the <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">post</span></span></span> at all times unless otherwise directed by a supervisor</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Actively respond to incidents, fights, or other issues in the school that threaten the safety of students, staff, and/or guests utilizing Safety Care skills up to and including momentary physical intervention if warranted by the safety risk</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Fulfill <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">duties</span></span></span> assigned related to Hall Sweeps</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Patrol (foot or mobile) and monitor school property for unauthorized persons. If needed, redirect or escort from the property</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Report unusual activity or suspicions of safety issues to the <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">Security</span></span></span> Supervisor or administration in a timely fashion</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Complete proper documentation related to incident reports and misconduct reports</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Produce and deliver reports to show progress against key metrics</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Assist with the organization and distribution of student lockers and locker searches</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Monitor school grounds and school entrances to ensure only authorized personnel and authorized visitors access the school; if assigned to the main entrance, ensure all guests follow visitor protocol and triage visitor requests</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Actively participate in professional development training to ensure ongoing growth and advance skills</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">As assigned, monitor the student entry and dismissal process to ensure safety</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Build positive and professional relationships with students and leverage those relationships to establish and maintain productive and safe learning environments and common areas of the building</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Exercise dignity and respect when interacting with students at all times</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Lead efforts to de-escalate inappropriate student behaviors and assist students with maximizing their time on task in classrooms</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Serve as a primary participant in emergency response during crisis situations including but not limited to fire, tornado, and active shooter incidents</li></ul><strong><strong><b>Qualifications/Skills:</b>&nbsp;</strong></strong><br><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">High school diploma or GED required</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">A minimum of 2-3 years of highly successful related experience</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Armed <span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\"><span class=\"il\">Security</span></span></span> Guard/Protective Service/Armed Body Guard Certificate from the TN Department of Commerce</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Active Shooter Training and Marksmanship training</li><li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Actively patrolling school property is critical in securing the building and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.
