Together, we keep getting better - advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>A day in the life of a <strong>Patient Safety Sitter</strong> at Hackensack <em>Meridian</em> Health includes: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the safety of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse</li>\n <li>Observes patient status for changes in behavior and reports all observations to the Registered Nurse</li>\n <li>Ensures patient safety by providing a safe environment, observes the patient's environments for safety risks and takes necessary steps to reduce the risk.</li>\n <li>Applies appropriate interventions: Observe, redirect, diversional activities.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.</li>\n <li>Ensures positive patient and team interactions by promoting HMH core beliefs and standards of</li>\n <li>Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy and dignity.</li>\n <li>Other duties and projects as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs (or in progress) required.</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required wihtin 60 days of hire. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!</p>\n<h2>Starting Minimum Rate</h2>Minimum rate of $17.42 Hourly\n<h2>Job Posting Disclosure</h2>HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
