Lakeland is a 208-bed facility that offers comprehensive training, dynamic leadership, and personalized support so you can achieve your greatest potential.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employee Comprehensive Benefits Package:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical plan</li>\n <li>Prescription drug plan</li>\n <li>Dental and Vision plan</li>\n <li>Flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts</li>\n <li>Short-term and long-term disability coverage. </li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n <li>401K with company match</li>\n <li>Additionally, our well-being programs encompass employee assistance programs, financial support and much more.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> ​</p>\n<p><strong>​</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong> </p>\n<p>​Responsible for day to day oversite of nursing operations of the facility and ensures staffing is adequate to provide care.  When scheduled, oversees the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.   As needed, collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.   Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as nursing practice standards.  Recognizes that patient safety is a top priority. </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed </li>\n <li>​Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety </li>\n <li>​Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care. </li>\n <li>​Ensure proper staffing for each unit, keeping staff ratio, appropriate staffing for patient care needs, covering call-offs and vacation time. </li>\n <li>​Ensure chart checks are completed, seclusion/restraint log is up to date and nursing assessments are completed, as well as MAR’s and report sheets are kept accurate and up to date. </li>\n <li>​Rounds are completed at the beginning of shift and perform random audits. </li>\n <li>​Assist nursing leaders to make sure all staff are oriented and competent to perform required duties.  May include coaching staff. </li>\n <li>​Provide mentoring and training as needed. </li>\n <li>​Assist the nursing leadership team by ensuring facility compliance with professional, regulatory and governmental standards. </li>\n <li>​Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate and safe care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes on the patient care units. </li>\n <li>​Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information, and ensure consultations are ordered.  </li>\n <li>​Document medical, behavioral health information and nursing care.   </li>\n <li>​Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.  </li>\n <li>​Assist in developing a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs. Assist in updating and revising the plan of care as goals/objectives are met or when the patient's condition changes. </li>\n <li>​Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care. </li>\n <li>​Leader on shift for all admissions and discharges, as well as informing physician of changes in the patient’s conditions.  Adjusts staffing accordingly. </li>\n <li>​Utilize administrator-on-call for situations that require additional attention. </li>\n <li>​Provides direct care as needed.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p>\n<p>​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​BSN from accredited school of nursing preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Current registered nursing license in State of facility required </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Greater than 1 year of experience as an RN strongly preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​1 year of experience as an RN in any setting required. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Some experience as a charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong> </p>\n<p>​Current certification or license to practice within the state where the facility is located.
