Work flexibly and reactively to adapt to the needs of project demands.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exhibits safety awareness by conducting lab and other operations in a safe manner and holding themselves accountable for safe behavior in the work environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Leads the technology transfer of processes while maintaining a strong professional reputation for Veranova as a leading technology provider. Evaluates risks and changes associated with new offerings.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Applies knowledge and expertise from multi-disciplines to advise others as a subject matter expert (SME) and leads projects and technical areas acting as a role model in all accountable areas.<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Develops advanced models using tools such as: and VisiMix in support of chemical or physical processes such as spray drying, mixing, and crystallization.&nbsp;</li><li>Supports development of Design of Experiments (DOE) in support of scale-down experiments to de-risk scale-up.</li><li>Define Requirements, commission, and install pilot-scale equipment.</li><li>Design and implement model-aided workflows.</li><li>Present the case study and workflows at external international conferences.</li></ul></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Expertly shares knowledge, skills and experience communicating both internally and externally and lead focused projects as key contact.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensures the relevant technical materials are developed and maintained, including developing potential successors to ensure knowledge is retained in-house.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keeps accurate, legible and complete records of all engineering studies, calculations and scale-up experiments, along with corresponding observations, and equipment details.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Writes high quality reports and delivers presentations to customers and management in a timely manner, that aligns with project milestones.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sustains good cross functional relations and frequently identifies new collaborative and commercial opportunities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Actively contributes to the technical development of the department and company, working independently to drive progress in this area.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consistently contributes to the production and review of high-quality project outputs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead technology transfer for New Product Introductions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accomplishes any other duties which are within the employee&rsquo;s skills and abilities per reasonable request.</li></ul></div><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Quality/Regulatory Responsibilities:</span></strong></h1><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensures all documentation complies with Veranova&rsquo;s standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contributes to audit readiness and participates in quality audits with FDA, other regulatory agencies, and customers, as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reports all near misses, accidents, and dangerous occurrences through the appropriate Veranova procedure to ensure an investigation is initiated.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensures work complies with all state and federal regulations, including GMP, DEA, FDA, etc.</li></ul></div><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Environmental, Health, &amp; Safety Responsibilities:</span></strong></h1><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follows and abides by all EHS policies, practices, and procedures in association with department specific responsibilities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrates technical and procedural proficiency and self-assuredness in applying EHS standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contributes to audit readiness and participates in EHS audits with internal Veranova groups, regulatory agencies, and customers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reports all near misses, accidents, and dangerous occurrences through the appropriate Veranova procedure to ensure an investigation is initiated.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Cooperates with all root cause investigations and follows corrective actions and compliance with Veranova&rsquo;s policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations occurs within department.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Supports Veranova&rsquo;s commitment to EHS by applying ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and Sustainability 2025 principals into daily activities.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Masters in Chemical Engineering and 5 years of experience in job offered or 10 years of experience in the Related Occupation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Serve as the subject matter expert for resolving complex technical issues and provide leadership in innovation and new technologies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven industry experience leading and developing technical areas (projects, people, and services) and track record of academic publications and collaborations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience in presenting complex scientific concepts with a proven ability to adjust the presentation to the intended/target audience.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and relevant technical software.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to lead projects, work independently and in teams, and effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrates good judgment and quick decision-making skills driving performance in key technical areas.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience in mentoring and training staff in areas of expertise.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Related Occupation:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Senior or Principal Scientist or Senior or Principal Engineer or any other job title performing the following job duties:</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Development and validation of drying models for process transfer from lab to plant.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Presenting to key personnel on a regular basis. Contributing to presentations at conferences and meetings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performing Hazard Studies, Risk Assessments.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$120,000-130,000 annual base salary.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><em>The salary range for this role is <strong>$120,000-130,000</strong>. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
