As the face of CFLS in the front lines, your daily interactions with our customers are a direct reflection of CFLS’s commitment to safety, quality and professionalism.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Employment as a sprinkler fitter demonstrates our confidence in your ability to deliver this project while maintaining our mission to protect lives and property, earning the trust of the clients we serve, and to be and remain a people first organization.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This document is intended to provide a guideline of roles and responsibilities and our overall expectation of our Sprinkler Fitter and alternatively what you can expect from your sprinkler operations team.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Task &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that the work is performed safely and in accordance with CFLS’s safe work procedures as well as site specific safety regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Create Weekly Progress Report with construction supervisor and submit weekly</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure timely submission of installation crew’s weekly time sheets (1st workday of workweek)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Establish contact with customer’s site personnel (general contractor, trades, vendors, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Obtain approval for lay down areas and on-site storage</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Check work areas, tools, and equipment for safety concerns</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Attend job meetings as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate installation conflicts and work areas with other trades.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify changes to the original scope of work and communicate with the project team to appropriately address the changes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Control site inventory and track material.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain a two-week look-ahead. Anticipate installation activities and ensure:</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Material is complete and on-site</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Required tools and equipment are available</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Installation is coordinated with site trades</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate with owner’s representative in existing facilities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Schedule efficient use of equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Upon activation of a system, notify the GC or property owner of emergency shut down and draining procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Schedule tests with AHJ and ensure signoff and acceptance of authorization to leave in service is returned to the project manager.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conduct weekly tool-box talks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collect and review daily JHA’s</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collect and review inspections reports (PPE, fall protection, ladder, etc.)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain daily logs including RFI and change order follow-up</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide technical assistance and mentorship for installation team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Review installation quality and document deficiencies for remediation</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">While we hold our sprinkler fitters to a high standard and high level of accountability; this is a reciprocal relationship where the sprinkler operations team has the same accountability to ensure you’re supported and provided with all the requirements to successfully deliver your project.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The mechanism for obtaining support should be through the following channels:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Construction Supervisor</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Technical and installation support.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Approval for tools &amp; equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Approval for additional manpower.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communication regarding CFLS or site-specific safety requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">On-site personnel conflicts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">On-site installation conflicts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Approval for all human resource related matters (ie. holidays, leave of absence, letter of employment history).</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Project Manager / Coordinator</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Comprehensive project specific foreman’s package.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Scope clarification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Up-to-date, quality working drawings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communication of project changes impacting installation scope of work or schedule.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A member of local 179 in good standing</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Follow verbal and written instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Capable of performing physical labour to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Majority of work all above head</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work flexible hours.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">We thank all applicants who apply, but only those candidates who meet the above qualifications will be contacted for an interview.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>",
