We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Buzzi Unicem USA is looking for a <strong>Quality Technician </strong>to join the team at our <strong>Festus Plant</strong> (near St. Louis, MO) and will be responsible for the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide support for the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of online analyzers and laboratory instruments.</li>\n <li>Provide support  and document routine and non-routine sampling and laboratory testing of raw materials, fuels, process samples, and final product.</li>\n <li>Validate and review analytical data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Assist with data entry and the preparation of mill tests and certification documents.</li>\n <li>Maintain clear and accurate records in CMS and other digital systems.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and organized area, following good housekeeping practices. </li>\n <li>Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager to investigate non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis.</li>\n <li>Sample Handling: Receiving, shipping, labeling, storing, and preparing samples according to strict protocols to ensure quality and integrity. </li>\n <li>Monitor lab inventory and ensure proper storage and availability of consumables.</li>\n <li>Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines at all times.</li>\n <li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts and audits.</li>\n <li>Provide weekend and on-call coverage as needed on a rotational basis.</li>\n <li>Proactively identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks to appropriate personnel. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience in an industrial laboratory setting (preferably cement, lime industry or similar).</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 years of relevant lab or process experience.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with cement plant operations and materials is a plus.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of lab testing techniques, analytical equipment, and quality systems.</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of chemistry and industrial process control.</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot basic instrumentation and analytical errors.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical data.</li>\n <li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with LIMS is a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.</li>\n <li>Commitment to Safety: Demonstrates a strong personal commitment to safety and health. </li>\n <li>Possesses the physical ability to perform job duties safely, including standing, bending, lifting, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Buzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.   </strong><strong>Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and that only qualified candidates will be contacted. </strong></em></p>",
